In the future, the same system promises to enable people to live by working on ideas directly in society, i.e. by running public projects or working in open companies online. The mission would only be achieved when certain conditions are met: - Enough people in society are following this behaviour of "living by working on ideas directly in society" so that it has ripple effects in wider networks and changes social norms from "get a job" to "run an open project" - Enough people need to be running such open projects on the system - Enough companies need to be running their operations on the system, so that others interested in freelancing can work with them openly So it seems to me that Infinity Family could experiment and welcome more people to join and share openly about project and perhaps even companies updates. The question is: How could Infinity Family develop partnerships with people interested in world building? Where are those communities of imaginative futurists? How could we link and cross share between Infinity Family and futurists communities? p.s. this post is sparked by our monthly meetup where members shared their project updates and curiosity what else we can discover together if more people and more diverse people share! Perhaps they could use Infinity as a tool to create a project page where participant contributions are logged. Say a non-profit X wants to initiate a research project about cause Y, when they get a group of fellows for a duration of 6 months. They could use Infinity to create an open project where all fellows would openly share the findings of their research as "Results" with links to their half-baked documents and "Hours" attached, and this non-profit as a project owner could distribute the fellowship payments through the system. The benefit of open research and sharing half-baked Results is the same benefit of crowd-sourcing - exposure to new ideas in the process of researching. Also, public accountability to adjust the research direction based on the findings shared publicly. In various fellowship programmes for example so little is captured in the final papers compared to the actual research journey. If researchers share their findings more frequently, they could produce more valuable knowledge as they go. And also, to impact the society sooner than later. Because society could read the half-baked insights (shared as Results) and create on top of that straight away. I went off-topic... From here to me it seems that Infinity could work like a content management tool really, where instead of keeping Research notes in Google Docs and Slack channels, these notes would instead be published on Infinity as public Results for specific open research projects.
